PYT

I love these shots of my P.Y.T. in the 80s showing off his MJ appreciation. I wish he still owned that vintage painters cap or Michael action figure. Although I'm still bummed out about what happened I've truly been enjoying the music video rotations and MJ radio play.

las frutas

So I finally decided to make a fruit post. Anyone who knows me is aware of my love for fruit and fruit related imagery. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing sometimes. As I browse through the wondrous internet I occasionally spot and save some sweet finds. Below are just a few including my personal work:

My arm done by Corey Kruger of Good Faith Tattoo in Boston. I fully recommend him.
the meateaters framed print $350

fruit speaker pillows; i soooo need one right now.

headdresses by birdie for fabric horse

Naoto packaging via dieline; I want to touch that berry skin

400 horse power #1&2; Nick Paparone; zexy

my current babies (gd urban! I got these lil fruit heads years ago on ebay)

and yup, I'll most likely put my future babies through this.

I'm sure this fruit post won't be the last-I so have to show you guys where I got my tattoo inspiration from and the f@#%& crazy fruity things my friends send me in care packages.

Amazing find: Choegal

How beautiful is this hand painted wooden figure by David Choe. This doll with mechanical limbs and 3 different facial features is produced in a limited number of 1000. These were released through Ningyoushi and are moderatly priced at $45. I really like some of David's work but it's not for everyone. Choegal is a treasure though and I am sure a variety of people would appreciate her.

I love: Koibito

My office space is pretty uninspiring. Along with some major organizing, my desk needs this little companion to bring in the new year with me.

Koibito by Yoskay Yamamoto; Vinyl, 7 inches tall, edition of 500

koi•bi•to [koi-bee-toh]: a loved one. sweetheart

koi [koi]: a carp

bito [bee-toh]: a person

"Once upon a time I had a goldfish named Tuna. But he passed away because of my laziness and mistreatment....So I painted him for his memory.......But at same time Koibito symbolizes the sense of alienation that I felt growing up in Cali...It''s kind of like the phrase " fish out of water"...."
