gullible gul·li·ble
–adjective
easily deceived or cheated.

credulous, trusting, naive, innocent, simple, green.

I was just duped big time.
My boyfriend just fed me a total crock of shit and I ate it gleefully. I never thought I was that gullible. We briefly paused on a Willie Nelson concert from PBS this evening. After admiring Willie's beautifully beaten up guitar, the bf doesn't skip a beat and begins telling me a story of how he met Mr. Nelson, and carved his initials into Willie's guitar. This was immediately followed by a "What? Really? I can't believe he'd let you sign it" (as I'm shocked yet excited to collect a cool random factoid to share with someone). He leads me on a bit, then waits until the camera focuses into a shot of said initials. Boom, the spotting of the B.C. engraving was met with high pitch squeals and even an ohmygod.

Turns out it was all a sham, I'm a big gullible baby and I need to not listen to a word my mister says.

put on a happy face

Still staying positive!

I've been a bit quiet lately due to the fact that my computer died and life is getting in the way of my normal routines. I am a creature of habit & routine so this sudden shift is slightly unsettling. For non jinxing reasons I will not bring up what's been getting in the way of my habitual interneting. All I'm going to say is that I am working on being considerably more optimistic about life. I'm nurturing a "YES I CAN" attitude for once. With this new forced outlook I have begun using some really random expressions and euphemisms. I actually said" gilding the lily" the other day. Really.

gild 1(gld)tr.v. gild·ed or gilt (glt), gild·ing, gilds
To give an often deceptively attractive or improved appearance to.
Idiom: gild the lily
1. To adorn unnecessarily something already beautiful.
2. To make superfluous additions to what is already complete.

If you're not accustomed to hearing random idioms on a daily basis like I am (2birds1stone, in the fold, turning a new leaf, play it by ear), you can always check out the Euphemism Generator. Although I have to warn you, these damn things have a way of sneaking into your lexicon.

This unique and colorful custom is referred to as

Guess what I've been doing? That's right --

Needless to say, I promptly began

Things I learned from my google analytics today:
  1. I hate reviewing my stats
  2. Two Belarusian citizens have visited my page
  3. I clearly never paid attention in geography because I've never heard of Belarus
  4. Minsk is the capital of Belarus
  5. They have a really pretty national emblem
  6. The Belarus Woman's prison has a cool mural:
