I may, or may not be moving into Henry Ford's 1934 island home.

Dying.

Dying.
Dying is an art,
like everything else.
I do it exceptionally well.
I do it so it feels like hell.
I do it so it feels real.
I guess you could say I've a call.

Sylvia Plath

Bad speech habit #3
Obnoxiously saying "I'm dying" at every single small animal and/or highly sought after accessory.
Example:

"Omfg, I'm dying, dying!"
&

"I'm dying for that glove clutch."
Scuba chi & Alexander McQueen 'Faithful' glove clutch

visual intrigue & cerebral tickling

Gulp... I think I'm becoming a floozy. I'm falling fast and hard for Tauba Auerbach although I've already professed my love to so many others. I've come across some standout, stimulating and creativity conceiving works lately. I lub* me some Tauba.

schmuth

Tell me I'm clever,

Tell me I'm kind,
Tell me I'm talented,
Tell me I'm cute,
Tell me I'm sensitive,
Graceful and wise,
Tell me I'm perfect-
But tell me the truth.

Tell Me

" "

Damn it! After spotting these alphabet lights on my spinning wheels I was compelled to find out more.
And now I'm totally in love with these useless yet oh so special light up marquee quotations from Agent Gallery Chicago:
Please someone convince me i either need them right this minute or I'm absolutely crazy for even considering spending $195 on air quotes.

Inspiration: Aphorisms

I am loving these printed aphorisms by The School of Life.
Daily Aphorisms site; School of Life Blog
Through the School of Life shop you can buy the posters beautifully typeset by Susanna Edwards and Joseph Harries for just £2 each + shipping.
Here are a few of my favorites:
  • The mundane is to be cherished. Jenny Holzer (1950- )
  • My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot. Ashley Brilliant (1933- )
  • I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

Word Art: Mike Monteiro

My brain is fried today. I think this painting by Mike Monteiro seems to suit my afternoon quite well.
"Better Mistakes" Acrylic, 30x40" $600
I'm not that crazy about text art, but my brain hurts right now and this is easy. A few of my other favorite slogans of his are: "You make me wish I had a time machine" and "Lets pretend we're working class"
